Follow the Odds

Choose Your Table

Tables may all be the same, but not in Blackjack.  Some tables offer advantages to your favor where the rules of the game implemented on the particular table can affect the way you handle and play your cards.  The number of decks used can also affect the odds you have to win.  Choose the table that works well with the strategy you are using. While it seems more advantageous for players to have more cards to build a Blackjack, the truth is actually the exact opposite.  The odds against the player increase as the number of cards that are being played increases.  If you will compare Blackjack decks, a single deck has 0.35% less odds in favor of the dealer compared to a double deck card,  0.48% less in four-deck Blackjack, 0.54% less when six decks of cards are used, and 0.58% less when eight decks are used.

Don’t Be Afraid to Surrender

Surrendering can be your way to minimize your losses and increase your winnings.  Choose a table that offers player an option to surrender early or before the dealer checks his card.  You can have an increase in expected win rate by 0.7% with early surrender, compared to a measly 0.06% when the late surrender is the only thing on the menu.
